Projects
I'm a big fan of personal projects, check out some of my projects here!
My interests are in Web & Android development, and Robotics.
A Node.js application that helps registered user find teammates of similiar interests in a hackathon. MongoDB is used to store user info, Google cloud storage stores uploaded pictures (like profile picture). Algorithmn that ranks similiar users is written in python child process, and data is visualized through D3. Project under development.
Link to Demo Website Github RepoInvented a device that monitors chemical reactions by detecting density changes in reaction fluids using ultrasound technology, to optimize product yield and purification time. The device consisted of data processing program coded in Python, 3D printed parts, Ultrasonic sensors, amplification circuit, and Arduino. I learned them independently. 2016 Siemens Research Competition Semi-finalists, 2016 NYCSEF 1st Award Winner, Columbia Research Scholars Journal Finalists.
Link to PaperTheta Tau Website I built the website for Stony Brook Theta Tau from scractch in Node.js. I used Bootstrap libary and Materialize framework, and a LOT of dynamically loading data from JSON. There is no hardcoded strings in the website code.
Food Tinder I developed an Android application that recommends nearby restaurant and activities to show each place in a slider format (like tinder). User chooses restaurants similiar to tinder. I Learned to structure project with Android’s multithreading engine, specifically creating separate threads for different backend computation and asynchronous programming
VRbind YHacks 2017 Top 8 hacks, special mention for best emotion detection hack. In a team of three, we coded an VR and AR combined app in C# using Azure’s speech API, Google’s translate API, Leap motion, and Unity being the front end. An app that translates speech real-time and displays the subtitles in Oculus Rift.
